Paintings, drawings & graphic designs by Frances Clancy: this site contains illustrations, graphic designs, house portraits, publishing, and web pages.

As an experienced illustrator/designer, each project begins with learning the client's needs. A careful brief is written which includes the concept, the desired style, reference materials, any needed contact information, and dates for roughs and final deadline. Key projects were created for Compaq and Scotties, with Mosaic and Strategies.

When designing a website the information that is necessary is the client's needs. These include the overall look of the site including colours and layout of the home page. Next item is the number of pages that are required, if galleries or slideshows are needed, if a shopping page will be included and if forms are needed for email or other types of feedback. Links to all their social media is also necessary.

Years of ilustration work was created with publishers including Annick Press, Child Welfare League of America, Kids Can Press, Ginn and Co., Irwin, Lorimer, Prentice-Hall, and Totem Hill.

In directing the Art Gallery of Northumberland Frances produced the newsletter, and all advertising materials including posters, rack cards, invitations and tickets. Posts on twitter and facebook were constant.
